Barry dore, minister
Barry grew up in Ireland, but has been living in the UK for most of his adult life. After attending an Alpha course, Barry became a committed Christian in his early 20s. His previous career was in greenkeeping and sports turf maintenance. Barry went on to train at London School of Theology and worked as an Assistant Minister at Park Street Baptist Church. He joined RBC in September 2016. Barry is married to Chrissie and has two children. He enjoys spending time with his family, playing guitar, supporting Liverpool and watching real-life documentaries.
matt rowe, lead minister
Matt joined RBC in 2024 and has a passion for the church to be a source of hope and life to all around us as we worship and serve Jesus together. He grew up in Leeds, and before being called into the ministry studied and worked as an accountant in Leicester. Before joining RBC Matt studied at Spurgeons College in London and has served churches in Chelmsford, and most recently in Cambridge. He is married to Rachel and they have two boys. Matt loves chatting to people, making things out of wood, and loves sports (but is much better at watching them, than playing them).
Julie ledden, Pastoral Care
Julie is married to Mick, they have two teenage daughters and have been part of Ruislip Baptist Church since 2008. Julie’s role is to co-ordinate the pastoral care needs of the church and people from our local community who seek help and support from us. This involves being aware of any pastoral issues that people have and finding suitable and appropriate support for them - whether that is occasional, practical help or ongoing support to someone experiencing a difficult time in their life. Before starting her pastoral role at Ruislip Baptist Church, Julie worked as a biomedical scientist in clinical biochemistry and pharmaceutical research and development for 25+ years and has been one of the leaders in the Sparks Sunday group for children aged 5-7 years.
matt easton, youth & young adults
Matt describes himself as a Christian, a scientist, a worshipper, a gamer, a husband and a father. He grew up in the local area and was a young person at RBC himself many years ago. He is married to Farrah, who also works at RBC, and they have two sons. He is trained as a physicist and worked inuniversities for several years before returning to Ruislip to join the staff team at RBC. He is also a musician, playing piano, guitar and drums. He loves how faith in God interacts with all different parts of life, from discussions of science and faith, to playing worship music, to workplace mission, to engaging environmental issues. At RBC, he oversees the youth work and young adults ministry, and is involved in worship and local and international mission.
farrah easton, children & families
Farrah has been attending RBC since she was young and loved attending all the children’s groups. After completing a degree in music, Farrah worked for an International NGO and later moved to East Asia. She has a heart for the marginalised and continues to volunteer with vulnerable women. Farrah is married to Matt, who also works at RBC. They have two sons. Farrah loves working with the children in the groups she oversees at RBC, but also in the wider community. With a great team of volunteers she is able to run events and lead school assemblies for the children in the local area. She also loves playing bass guitar, playing board games, learning about Minecraft from her sons, and she really loves their cat!
Gillian Rose, Administrator
Gillian is married to David and they have two children. After completing a degree in Psychology she worked for a while in a HIV/AIDS centre in London before taking on the role of Administrator in July 2003. In this role Gillian runs the day-to-day activities and operations of the Church. Gillian is the friendly voice at the end of the phone when you call our church office and provides administrative support to the ministry team.
nikki latham, operations / children youth & families administrator
Nikki has two roles at RBC firstly as the Operations Manager, this role involves ensuring the smooth running of all operational activities at RBC. This includes managing the building & facilities, organising church programs & events, and ensuring policies & procedures are fully compliant and adhered to. Her second role is providing administrative support to our Children, Youth and Families Team. Nikki is married to Tim, and they have four grown up children. Nikki and Tim have been attending RBC since 2010, Nikki is an engineering manager by background and co-led our Girl Guiding groups at RBC for 9 years. Nikki is also part of the Youth Ministry Volunteer team, leading in Phase & Roots, our youth groups for 11 - 16-year-olds.
Helen Yarrow, Outreach
Helen is married to Tim, and they have three grown up children. She has been attending RBC for over 25 years and has helped lead our Holiday club for a number of years. Like Marie she initially joined the staff covering maternity leave. As Outreach Resource coordinator her role is to develop opportunities to engage and reach out into our local community.
Marie Dendy, publicity & admin
Marie is married to Mark, they have two daughters and have been part of Ruislip Baptist Church since 2003. She gained a degree in Art and worked for a textile company, in retail and as a recruitment consultant before having her children. She initially joined the staff covering maternity leave in 2009 and since then has continued to work both voluntarily and paid in the church office. Her role is to assist Gillian in the office and with her support of the leadership team.
